Simple Crack Repair
As a repairman I am often approached to do a "simple crack repair". The customer says "All you gotta do is glue em!" If it was alwasys that simple then they wouldn't be calling me, right? If conditions are right, it could be pretty simple.
For instance: on a relatively straight-grained, fairly quartersawn top or baack, a crack usually means grain separation and both sides usually can come together by stretching masking tape TIGHTLY across the crack, then rubbing directly over the crack to align. Of course, don't forget the glue first.
